Obituary
Fred Francis Cutt
January 20, 1939- March 22, 2025
Fred Francis Cutt, 86, passed away on March 22, 2025 at the Hot Springs County Health Center in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
He was born on January 20, 1939, in Brookings, South Dakota to Frederick Dewy and Mildred Mae (Asher) Cutt.
Fred grew up in Gary, South Dakota with his parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and many cousins. He spoke fondly about going fishing with his grandfather and father. In his early years, he served in the US Army, proudly serving in Germany. After he was state side, he loved riding the high country of Colorado and fly fishing on days off from stone and brick work. Fred had a larger-than-life personality that people were drawn too. He was happiest when everyone he met would come out for a party on the ranch. During his time, on the ranch after work was done, he would go into his room and make jewelry on buckles. His favorite joys were silver smithing or tying flies.
He will be missed by Gloria and all who knew him.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Arlene Sachs; daughter-in-law, Laura Donahue; grandson, Logan Dobkins and nephew, Steve Sachs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; sons, Jay Donahue of Newark, Delaware, Sean (Colleen) Donahue of Orange, California and Aaron (Kerry) Berg of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; daughters, Linda (Rick) Pluff of Hugo, Minnesota and Shealee (Brad) Donahue of Worland, Wyoming; grandchildren, Serafina (Robert) Shumacher, Veronica Donahue, Jamie (Corey) Huenefeld, Damion (Jocelyn) Quammie, Jena (Shane) Whiting, Hayden Dobkins, Adam Donahue, Keven Bostrom, Maximus Donahue and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held, 11:00 AM, Friday April 11, 2025 at the United Methodist Church in Ten Sleep, Wyoming with Pastor Kayilu Pfoze officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Ten Sleep Museum or the Ten Sleep Library. Please send checks to PO Box 524 Worland, Wyoming 82401.
