Obituary

Jack W. Whittaker

January 14, 2005 – January 28, 2026

Jack William Whittaker was born on January 14, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Caldwell Whittaker and Windy Eckert. His sudden passing on January 28, 2026 will leave a void in the hearts of those who loved him.

Jack is survived by his wife, Corina Willams; son, Caldwell Whittaker of Thermopolis; his father, Caldwell (Call) Whittaker of Thermopolis; his mother, Windy (Greg) Eckert of Arizona; his sister, Desiree; brothers, Marshall, William and Isaak Eckert; Grams Hilda and Papa Ron; Pat (Bill) Malloi, Kallie and Erick his niece, nephew and each and every one of his friends, and you all know who you are.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Mary Wilson; grandmother, Jacqulyn Malloy; and sister, Elizabeth Eckert.

It was at age 3 that Jack went on his first motorcycle ride. He had a full set of leathers. It was a father and son ride to Devils Tower. This sparked a love for motorcycles that he would carry with him for his remaining days.

In school, Jack did very well in wrestling. He played the flute and later played the violin. He was strong-willed and fiercely independent.

Jack was clever and somewhat mischievous as a child. One time he filled his dad's friend's shoes full of sand. Another time, he shook a tree branch full of snow onto unsuspecting family members below. His dad fondly remembers Jack being very comical. He would use big words that he didn't fully understand the meaning to. This usually came together in a hilarious sentence.

Jack used his college fund to buy his first motorcycle at age 15. He bought another – his first Harley – later that year.

Jack married Corina Williams in 2024. In 2025, they welcomed their son, Caldwell Lowell Whittaker. Jack was so proud and loved his son dearly. Although separated at the time of his passing, Jack was thankful to Corina for making him a father.

Jack wasn't perfect, but parts of him were pretty good. He will be remembered as being kind and someone who smiled easily, and will forever be 21.

"You lift me upon the wind, you make me ride on it, and you toss me about in the roar of the storm."

A memorial ride for Jack will take place this spring. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday March 1, 2026 at the Boysen Marina Campground Bar & Restaurant in Shoshoni, Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made to assist with funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
