Obituary
William Donald Jamieson
March 12, 2004- January 28, 2026
William Donald Jamieson, 21, passed away tragically on January 28, 2026, in a car accident alongside his longtime friend, outside of
Worland, Wyoming. Though his time here was far too short, William lived with an intensity, curiosity, and love that many never reach in a lifetime.
William was born on March 12, 2004, in
Thermopolis, Wyoming, to Nicholas Donald and Roberta Marie (Case) Jamieson. His childhood was spent between Thermopolis, Riverton, and Arizona, but Wyoming always had his heart. He was a true outdoorsman drawn to rivers, campfires, and open skies. Fishing wasn't just a hobby for William; it was his sanctuary. If there was water nearby, chances were good you'd find him there, soaking in the quiet, the fresh air, and the freedom that came with it.
William had a restless, adventurous spirit and wasn't afraid to take risks or live life his own way. He loved working on cars and was especially proud of his Honda, always tinkering, improving, and making it uniquely his. Independent and strong-willed, William marched to the beat of his own drum and he did so unapologetically.
He completed his education through K–12 Arizona Online High School before returning to Wyoming to be closer to his mother. While working at McDonald's in Worland, William formed friendships that would last a lifetime. He had the rare gift of being able to talk to anyone strangers included and make them feel like old friends. He loved a good conspiracy theory and never missed an opportunity to passionately explain why his theory was the right one.
Beneath his boldness was a deeply caring heart. William was generous with his time, fiercely loyal to those he loved, and always willing to help no matter the task. He was a protector by nature, especially when it came to his younger brother, Mathew, with whom he shared a bond only brothers can truly understand. Though he may have appeared tough on the outside, those who knew him best knew he was a teddy bear loving fully and without reservation.
In the past year, William moved to Laramie as he stepped into adulthood, beginning a new chapter working at Walmart and building a life of his own. There, he found the love of his life, Tori Barnes. William was ready to put down roots, dream big, and share his future with her. He lived with hope, excitement, and a full heart.
William left this world knowing he was deeply loved by his parents, his siblings, his girlfriend, his daughter, his friends, and his family. That love surrounded him in life, and it will carry those who remain through the grief of his loss. Though the hole he leaves behind is immense, so too is the legacy of love, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories he gifted to all who knew him.
William was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Norman Case.
He is survived by his mother, Roberta Jamieson of
Worland, Wyoming; his father, Nic Jamieson of
Thermopolis, Wyoming; brothers, Mathew Jamieson of Jesup, Georgia, and Markess; sister, Victoria; daughter, Skye; girlfriend, Tori Barnes of
Laramie, Wyoming; maternal grandmothers, Penny Granger and Shirley Wright; and paternal grandparents, Cindy Jones, Everett Jones, and Robert Jamieson, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A celebration of William's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel, with celebrant Kendra Ware officiating. Memorial donations may be made to assist with funeral arrangements. Checks may be payable to Bryant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 524,
