Fred Feltham Obituary
At the age of 9, Fred came to the United States of America. It was here that he was educated. Fred was a sales consultant mostly in the kitchen design industry. He was a gifted craftsman, in carpentry and working with wood and cloth. He was an exceptional gardener who created beautiful flower gardens and wonderful vegetable gardens at his Mahopac home. Fred was an accomplished cook who made wonderful dishes for his family and friends.
On January 26, 1964 he married Rachel "Mary" Daddio at St. Peter's Church in New Brunswick, NJ. Fred and Mary resided in Jackson, NJ before moving to Mahopac in 2018. In addition to Mary, his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his daughters, Mary Frances Barker and her husband Jesse, Kimberly Wearley and Melissa O'Connell; his son-in-law, Sean O'Connell; his grandchildren, Calvin, Cheyenne, James Manfred, Patrick and Liam and his great grandchildren, Cooper and "JJ" as well as his canine companion, Tana. He was predeceased by his brother, Dieter.
Visiting for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 8 from 3-7 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 US Route 6, Mahopac. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 221 East Lake Blvd., Mahopac. Private cremation will follow.
