I remember Fred very well. He would come home on leave and park his car on my Grandfathers front lawn and go in for coffee and talk to Gram-pa Archie. If I was busy mowing I would mow around his car and wait for him to leave so I could finish mowing. He always remembered me and we had many great conversations. I only knew him as Fred.
