Mr. Fred Jerome Hart, age 71, of Hogansville, passed away on January 24, 2026. Mr. Hart was born on October 25, 1954 in LaGrange to the late Dr. Joel Thomas "Tom" Hart and Faye Dysinger Hart. He worked for over 36 years with the City of LaGrange as a heavy equipment operator and finished his career with Troup County. He faithfully served his country in the Army/National Guard for over 31 years, retiring as a Sergeant E5.

Survivors include his wife, Freida Hester Hart; daughters, Ciara Hart Santana (Yelfrank) and Lexxi Hart Long (Brandon); brother, Joel T. Hart, Jr.; sisters, Mary Katherine Williams (Robert) and Patsy Harris (Jim); grandchildren, Jada Hart, Noah Hart, Kody Hart, Jayden Bailey, Cheyenne Bailey and Heidi Long; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Hart loved his family. He was very active with his daughters in 4H Horse Club, always at his grandchildren's sports games, and an active member at Faith Baptist Church for many years. Flowers are accepted but it is preferred for donations to be made to Faith Baptist Church in his honor.

Services for Mr. Hart will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Faith Baptist Church with Dr. Donald Yancey officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-1:00 pm on Friday.

Freida, Ciara and Lexxi, Thank you for taking care of my little brother for the last three years. I know it was tough because was a Hart. It is a family trait. You took such good care of him and I know he died surrounded by your love.
