Fred A. Hoffman

Fred A. Hoffman, 77, of Jackson Township, NJ passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Jackson Township. Born in Elizabeth, NJ; Fred lived for the past 10 years in the Metedeconk section of Jackson Township.

Fred earned his Bachelor's degree from Upsala College in Business and Economics and worked as a salesman for LV Adhesives. In 1980 Fred decided to open up his own paper products business and later in life founded a pet sitting business to make a little extra money.

During his free time, Fred enjoyed coaching his children's sports teams. He also was a umpire for baseball and softball with the NJSIAA. He was very proud to be known as the Metedeconk "Personal Trainor" for many of his friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Sam and Gertrude Hoffman. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carmela Remo Hoffman; one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Lisa Hoffman of Howell, one daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and Joseph Reid of Hillsborough; one special granddaughter, Samara Reid of Hillsborough and one brother, Michael Hoffman of Florida.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 12pm – 1pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Graveside services and entombment will follow at 1:30pm at the Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum, Holmdel.
