Fred Krok Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home on May 9, 2025.
Fred J. Krok, II, 41, of Menominee, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. He was born on April 4, 1984, in Chicago, to Frank and Florence (Roth) Krok.
Fred grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and later moved to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to attend Northern Michigan University, where he fell in love with the area. He married Amy Billings in Menominee on March 20, 2020.
Fred worked as an electrician for Marinette Marine, where he was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. Outside of work, he enjoyed karaoke nights, fishing trips, horror movies, and had a deep appreciation for good food and a fine glass of whiskey. He found great joy in cooking and sharing meals with the people he loved.
Fred had a smile that lit up every room he entered and a contagious laugh that brought joy to everyone around him. His vibrant personality and unshakable positivity were gifts he shared freely, even in the most difficult moments. Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, Fred remained incredibly strong and never gave up. He continued to live each day with bravery and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Fred is survived by his wife, Amy Krok; children, Quinten Heitman and Brianne Krok; his mother, Florence Roth; his twin sister, Amanda Krok; and nieces Alexandria and Isabella LeCrone. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Krok.
A Celebration of Life for Fred will be held at the enclosed pavilion at Red Arrow Park in Marinette on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m..
