Fred Allen Linkous of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025. Fred was born on October 21, 1963 to Mary Leoma Burriss and Tommy J Linkous in Washington, DC. Fred married the love of his life, Janna. They spent 31 wonderful years together. They were blessed with 2 sons, John Linkous (Megan) and Cody Linkous (Ashley) both of Mechanicsville, MD.
In his free time, he enjoyed hanging out with his family, riding his Harley, watching the Dallas Cowboys and working on home projects and he adored his family and he was his sons and grandchildren's biggest fan. He loved and adored his dogs and grand dogs.
Fred was a true enthusiast when it came to motorcycles, especially his beloved Harley. In addition to his love for motorcycles, Fred also loved riding his ATV'S with family and friends, and watching his sons ride and race motorcross. Fred was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he loved the team and his dedication was unwavering. Fred was also a skilled handyman and enjoyed working on home projects. His craftsmanship was truly impressive, and he took great pride in his work.
Fred was predeceased in death by his father Tommy, his sister Tammy and his brother TJ.
He is survived by his wife Janna and their two sons John and Cody who provided him with care and support. He is also survived by his two eldest sons Matthew Loague and Fred Lincoln. In addition, he is survived by his mother Sandy Linkous, his sister Wanda, his brothers Leonard, Willie, Michael, Charlie and Todd and his six grandchildren who remain a part of his family legacy, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
As we mourn the loss of Fred, let us take comfort in the memories we shared with him and the impact he had on our lives. He will be deeply missed, but the memories we had together will live in our hearts forever.
A life celebration will be held at Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Old Leonardtown, RD Hughesville, MD 20637. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:30 am. Repast to follow.
In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation or an Animal Rescue of your choice.
