Fred Patrick Lowry, age 68, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Sunday, December 1, 1957, to Fred "Crockett" and Bobbye June (Winters) Lowry, at Coalgate, OK. Fred passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1976. He went on to SOSU where he received a double major in Psychology and Sociology. Fred worked for the State of Oklahoma as a juvenile officer, in probation and parole, and worked previously in child welfare. He then worked for Carl Albert in Atoka. He married Kellie Sue (Mobbs) on Sunday, June 12th, 1993 at Wylie, TX. They enjoyed over 32 years of marriage before he passed. Fred was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, (deer, rabbit, squirrel, quail), fishing, camping, gardening, especially tomatoes, listening to music, all genres. Fred enjoyed cooking anything and everything, frying fish and squirrel dumplings. He always had a trusty Beagle dog, especially during rabbit hunting. Fred enjoyed watching History channel, Lonesome Dove, The Andy Griffith Show, Weather Channel and would remind the family to watch the storms. He loved visiting with his family and friends.
Fred is survived by his wife, Kellie Sue Lowry of Durant, OK; children, Jennifer Lowry of Atoka, OK, David Lowry of Atoka, OK, Leslie Manion and husband Kerwin of Wardville, OK, Samantha Lowry of Durant, OK, Ronnie Lowry of Durant, OK; granddaughters, Jordan Hill of Wardville, OK, Aniston Manion of Wardville, OK, Maddyn Manion of Wardville, OK; sister, Debbie Smithart of Atoka, OK; niece, Tera Navarro and husband Tony of Atoka, OK; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred "Crockett" and Bobbye Lowry; brother, Ronny Lowry.
