Fred "Bud" Malvitz, 90, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away peacefully on Oct. 8, 2023, at Pine Crest Village. He was born March 19, 1933, in Little Sturgeon to Fritz and Dorothy (Krueger) Malvitz.
Fred graduated from Brussels High School and attended St. Norbert College. On June 14, 1951, he married the love of his life Jillain Chaudoir in Namur. She preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 1996.
Fred and his wife Jillain loved traveling and spent many winters in Florida. In later years, he loved visiting his daughter in the many places she lived.
Survivors include 4 children, Fred (Mary) Malvitz, John (Carrie) Malvitz, Julie Malvitz, and Dori (Jared) Cowlishaw, all of Sturgeon Bay; 10 grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren, and son-in-law Don Sixel Jr.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Jillain and daughter Marcia Sixel.
At Fred's request, private family services will be conducted at Forbes Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery along side his beloved wife. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church in his name.
Fred's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Pinecrest Village for the excellent care and kindness received. Thanks also to Unity Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
