Fred W. Davis Muhammad

FRED W. DAVIS MUHAMMAD, of Atlantic City, went to rest on Thursday, June 30, 2011, in the comfort of his home. He was born on April 18, 1922, in Kendrick, FL, to the late Eugene and Jessie Davis. He was employed at Lennox China and the City of Atlantic City, where he retired twenty years ago. He was a member Muhammad Mosque #10 of Atlantic City. As the patriarch of our family he always thought us there are only two ways of life, the right way and the wrong way. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by any of us! He is predeceased by his wife, Amy Davis; his two daughters, Cynthia Gaskins and Lorraine Davis; one son, Vernon Davis; five sisters and six brothers. Surviving are: his loving children, James Alston, Fred Davis, Jr., Deborah Banton, Steven Davis, Janet Davis, Vernell Davis and Sonia Davis; his sister, Betty Davis; son-in-law, Dennis Banton, Sr.; two daughters-in-law, Marilyn Davis and Marie Alston; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great- great grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends.
