He is survived by his wife Naureen of 63 years and their 5 children. Richard (friend Carrie) Pfeiffer of Oshkosh, WI, Sheryl (Neil) Willman, of Iron Ridge, WI, Ronald (Terry) Pfeiffer of Horicon, WI, Robert (friend Diane) Pfeiffer, of Hartford, WI, Mary Kay (Jon) Landgraf of Erin, WI. 9 grandchildren: Eric, Ryan (Andrea), Amanda, Chelsea (Joshua), Vicki, Daniel (Rachel), Joseph, Olivia and Michael. 9 great-grandchildren: Aurora, Mason, Hunter, McKenna, Kaiden, Kiley, Brooklyn, Levi and Lauren.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law, George Aulenbacher of Clyman, WI, brother-in-law, Wayne Neu of Neosho, WI and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roger and Kathleen Horst of Hartford, WI. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Fred graduated from Hartford Union High School in 1958 and was very involved in woodworking classes. He was the state champion in the 880-yard dash and had the school record in track for a long time and all of his children wanted to break Dad's record.

Fred worked at The Hartford Casing Factory from 1955 to 1969 where he met Naureen and said "she is going to be my wife'! Fred then worked at Wacker Corporation for 32 years in the Welding and Fabrication department until his retirement in 2001. Then after retirement he worked at Hartford School District Joint 1 in Food Service as a sub.

Throughout Fred's life he was always helping someone whether it was putting on a new roof, repairing something, concrete work or building something. He was always busy.

Fred enjoyed playing cribbage, sheepshead, fishing, golfing, woodworking, traveling, spending time up at their summer cottage in Phillips, WI, and simply spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Fred's memory are appreciated.

Funeral Services for Fred will be held on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church (1001 Center St., Hartford, WI 53027). Naureen and members of Fred's family: I send my sympathy to all of you on Fred's passing. As one of my close high school friends, he and I shared four years of joint athletic endeavors, becoming really good at some and really average at others! But we enjoyed each other's company and opinions, and shared a ton of laughs. He was simply a neat guy, and we will all miss him. John Berndt

Naureen & Members of Fred's family: The members of Our Savior Lutheran of Phillips, WI will remember Fred as a loving Christian man who always was ready to help our congregation when he was up here. We considered him almost as a member. He was regularly in worship services and loved to supply treats (like a birthday cake!) for worshipers after service.
We will miss him, but we know he is with Jesus now--the Savior who gave his life so Fred and all who trust in his sacrifice can enjoy eternal life.
We are thankful to have known him and to have been part of his journey through life. We trust that Jesus will comfort all who mourn his passing. Pastor Jim and Bonnie Naumann, Our Savior Ev. Lutheran, Phillips, WI
