Fred Sferrazza, born in the heart of New York City in 1952, passed away, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Raised in the vibrant community of Astoria, Queens, Fred was a beacon of warmth and friendship to all who knew him. Graduating from LIC High School, he excelled athletically, leaving an indelible mark as a standout baseball player. His passion for the game was unrivaled, with the Los Angeles Dodgers holding a special place in his heart, particularly his idol, Sandy Koufax.
Beyond the diamond, Fred's true treasures lay in his connections with family and friends. He was a beloved brother, Godfather, uncle, cousin, and friend, whose presence brought joy and comfort to those around him. His love knew no bounds, extending to his passion for nature, music, and collecting baseball cards.
As we mourn his passing, let us remember Fred for his infectious laughter, his unwavering kindness, and the love he shared with all who crossed his path. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Fred Sferrazza will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on eternally in the lives he touched.
