FRED SHEPHERD
Freddie Neil “Fred” Shepherd age 75 died Monday October 20, 2025 at his residence in Columbus. Services will be held Thursday October 23, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating; burial with U.S. Navy Honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Shepherd was born on July 20, 1950 in Columbus to the late Lee Edward Shepherd and Annie Laurie Gibson Shepherd. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a retired employee of Brislin Inc., where he served as a HVAC technician for over 40 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca “Becky” Shepherd.
Survivors include his children, Karen Pintican, (Emanuel), Steve Shepherd, (Morgan), and Neil Shepherd, Sister, Barbara Holliman, (Dennis), grandchildren, Cody Lane Shepherd, Gentry Faye Penley, and Judson Hayes Shepherd.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Cody Shepherd, Dennis Holliman, Larry Manzolillo, John Lancaster, Tommy Coleman, and Glyn Lowe
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Emanuel “Many” Pintican, Kevin Glusenkamp, and Guy Hammack
