Rita. I am so sorry to hear of Fred´s passing as well as the passing of your son. My husband Tom died 8 years ago in late December. I´m sorry we have that in common. My love to you and your family.

Hello Rita
Please accept my sympathy for Fred´s passing. He was a very talented brilliant man. You two were such a lovely pair. The time spent at Windblown was magic. Thank you. Debbie Long

Fred, Rita, my wife Vera and I had many a dinner together with gourmet food, astounding desserts made by Rita, good scotch and wine, and delightful and stimulating conversations. Fred and I worked together for a time and I was always impressed with his brilliance and his dyslexic emails and creative spellings. He always worked hard to take care of orhers. He has made sure Rita is OK, safe, and cared for and we will all continue to care for her. Even though we are all saddened by the loss, I will always think of him with a smile. He was a significant part of our lives.

I will miss our emails and phone conversations. I will remember the two times you lived in Maryland and I helped with the never ending painting of walls. I will remember the reunions you spent so much time organizing, the fun we had at Birdie's and Aunt Irene and Uncle Albert's homes. And I will miss you. Thank you for being my cousin. My condolences to the whole family. May you be at peace.

I was fortunate enough to meet Fred Wilbur at a local writer's group in 2019. From the very first, Fred offered heartfelt encouragement and critiques to the group's aspirants. A few years later, he offered computer technical expertise for a problem that had vexed me. I purchased a copy of his book 52 Answers and thrilled at the unforgettable first story about him being trapped in a runaway baby stroller. And what a stroll it was! But, rather unlike this chaotic ride, Fred's easygoing and unflappable nature drew me into his world. Most probably, it did for family and friends as well. RIP Fred.

My sincere condolences to Fred´s entire family. My best memory of Fred was when he came to MA to help his son move where he thought it would be a great idea to use a pogo stick..needless to say he did, no injuries and he did well, it was pretty entertaining while I stood and watch while holding my breathe. I still have the video which makes me laugh to this day!
Thoughts and prayers for all who knew and loved him.
