FUNERAL SERVICE: A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Circle SW, Atlanta, GA 30311
GATHERING: Friends and family are welcome on Wednesday, January 15 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the home of Freda and Steve
DONATIONS: Memorial donations (in lieu of flowers) can be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association both of which Freda supported and from whom she received medical help during her lifetime.
OBITUARY
Freda Carol Davis (Lewis), 84 of Atlanta, GA passed away on January 10, 2025 from complications due to MID (Multi-infarct Dementia)
Freda is predeceased by her parents Abe Lewis and Ida Keel Lewis; brother, Larry Donald Lewis.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Freda attended Grady High School, followed by the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia. Freda was a proud member of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority at both Alabama and Georgia. Freda and her family were members of Ahavath Achim Synagogue where she married Steve in 1964.
For over 60 years, she devoted her life to spending time with family and friends alike. She prioritized raising and nurturing her children and later grandchildren. She was known to her family and friends as a resilient woman who faced every obstacle head on with poise and grace. She was a valued member of her inner circles, family and community.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Stephen L. Davis along with daughter Marla Beth, son Brad Alan and his wife Carrie Alison plus grandchildren, Ciaira Jade (CJ) and Kyle Anderson.along with her sister Sheryl Lewis of Alexandria, VA.
