Freda Sue Leuty

Freda Sue Leuty, age 79, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Thursday, March 7, 1946, to Ralph Fred and Susie B. (Childs) Mobbs, at Atoka, OK. Freda passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Oklahoma City, OK. She attended Bentley Grade School graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1964. She then went on to attend beauty school. Freda was a bank teller at Ameristate Bank for 35 years and fixed hair for a short period of time. She married the love of her life, Hurshell Lee Leuty on Saturday, March 7th, 1964 at Bentley, OK. They celebrated over 61 years of marriage. Freda was a longtime member of Blackjack Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, having explored all the national parks, loved the Alaskan cruise she and Hurshell went on. Her favorite times were when her family was around.
Freda is survived by her husband, Hurshell Lee Leuty of the home in Atoka, OK; daughters, Laura Grissom and husband Jeff of Noble, OK, Kelli Norman and husband Kyle of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Tice Norman and Christina Kitchell of Durant, OK, Turner Norman of Oklahoma City, OK, Taylor Herndon and husband Nathan of Norman, OK, Riley Grissom of Oklahoma City, OK; great grandchildren, Brodee Crawford of Durant, OK, Tommie Norman of Durant, OK; brother, Randy Mobbs and wife Linda; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Fred and Susie B. (Childs) Mobbs; brothers, Fred Mobbs, Dale Mobbs, Roy Mobbs, Ray Mobbs; nephews, Michael Mobbs, James Mobbs.
