Freda was a dear friend and co-worker. She was part of our "Sisterhood", seven ladies who attended graduate school together and then met frequently for dinner. She loved her friends and her dogs, and she was always kind and thoughtful! She will be missed by all who knew her!

So sad to read this. Freda was such a kind and loving friend. She absolutely adored animals. I remember so well when she got Maggie Mae and the bond they formed so quickly. Freda will once again be with her beloved Calvin, and out of pain. Rest easy my friend we will see each other another time.

I enjoyed working with Freda for many years. When we retired we would visit at Harris Teeter when we were grocery shopping. She was a sweet and caring friend.

My condolences ro the family. Ms. Deal was my 5th and 6th grade teacher in 1985/86. I came to adore her and stayed in contact with her up until a few years ago. She had an impact on my life.
