Freda L. Vaughn

Vaughn, Freda L. – of Clio, age 84, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Westside Church in Flushing. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Friday from 3-8 and at the church on Saturday from 12 PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Missions.
Freda was born April 9, 1939 in Judsonia, Arkansas to the late Virgil and Bessie (Tuggle) Landis. She married Clyde Vaughn on April 27, 1957, in Corinth, Mississippi. They have resided in Clio since 1966. Freda was employed by AC Spark Plug for 32 years, retiring in 1986. She sang for over 50 years with her family's group, The Singing Vaughns. She enjoyed sewing, southern-style cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a great Christian wife and mom and will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Husband, Clyde; Daughters: Debbie (Dave) Caldwell, and Tammy Grantham; Grandkids: Scott Caldwell, Zachary (Alexis) Caldwell, Taylor Grantham, Courtney Caldwell, and Dylan Grantham; Great-grandkids: Lilly and Weston Caldwell; Brother, Harold (Georgie Lou) Landis; Several nieces and nephews. Freda was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Clifton and Pauline Vaughn, and son-in-law, Tim Grantham.
