THE LIFE OF FREDDIE JAMES BINDER, JR. (BUCK):
Freddie James Binder, Jr. (Buck) was born on May 10, 1959 in Waynesboro, MS to the late Clotee Kirksey and Freddie James Binder, Sr. He gained his wings early Wednesday morning, November 6, 2024.
Freddie (Buck) graduated from Buckatunna High School where he received a scholarship for football at Jones County Junior College. He attended college and received a degree in Auto Mechanics. Freddie (Buck) also became a Certified Commercial Truck Driver. He was a Wayne County Volunteer Fire Fighter serving the Battles Community.
Freddie (Buck) was a member of the True Praise Living Church of God; he also frequently visited Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church with his late loving wife, Faye Nell. Freddie (Buck) was an upstanding member of the Battles Community. He loved and mentored many youth in the surrounding areas. He knew no strangers; he gave monetary, emotional and moral support or any expertise advice. He always gave his best and always offered a helping hand to many people. He visited the sick, volunteered when needed; he was a great unofficial barbecue chef, him and his brother, Michael. He was a father figure to many youth.
Freddie (Buck) was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Faye Nell Binder and his sister, Albennie Binder Jones.
Freddie (Buck) leaves to cherish his memories: his children; Natasha (Roderic) Robinson of Pleasant Hill, CA and Jarvis (Sakina) Johnson of Knoxville, TN; an adopted daughter, Reveita (Christopher) McCullum of Hattiesburg, MS; two brothers, Michael (Lana) Binder of Battles, MS and Willie J. Everett (Tater Bug) of Waynesboro, MS; one sister, Sharon I (Johnnie) Dennis of Malcolm, AL; two great aunts, Maude Bivins and Josephine Douglas both of Moss Point, MS; eight grandchidren, Jahkobi Robinson, Jahzara Robinson, Reina | Johnson, Breviya Porter, Zeb 'Riya Beavers, Zeb ' Kyrah Beavers, Za 'Rik Beavers and Hazi McNair; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his long time friend, Sgt. Henry Lee Hardy of Buckatunna, MS.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in State Line, with Rev. Hal Hayes as the officiant. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The viewing periods will be Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, and Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church, prior to the funeral.
