Freddie Lee Driver

Freddie Lee Driver, born on August 6, 1936, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the age of 89. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Freddie spent many years working as a pressman at the International Paper Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie with colleagues. Beyond his professional life, Freddie was a mentor to many young men, offering guidance and support with his characteristic good sense of humor.

A man with a deep love for the outdoors, Freddie found joy in gardening and was particularly proud of growing the best tomatoes and okra. His love of animals was evident and he cherished the time spent in nature.

A man of faith, Freddie was an active member of the church community throughout his life. He served as a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in Chattahoochee Hills, GA, then at Faith Baptist Church in Fairburn, GA before continuing his service at Providence Baptist Church in Palmetto, GA. His dedication to his faith and community was evident in all that he did.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lottie Driver; his siblings, Robert Driver and Carolyn Driver; and his step-sisters, Rose Beason and Ruby Calhoun.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Reba Driver; his sons, Robbie Driver and his wife Jennifer, and Christopher Driver; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael Driver, Shane Driver, Kristin Potts, Elizabeth Strickland, Crystal Driver, and Raymond Driver. Freddie also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews, including David Driver and his wife Connie, Steve Driver, and Annette Driver.

A funeral service to honor Freddie's life will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.

Freddie Lee Driver will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
