Freddie ""Fred"" Gene Keith, 64, of Florence, MO, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 18, 2022.

Fred was born on November 11, 1957 to Raymond and Genevieve Keith in Nevada. After Fred graduated from Eldorado Springs in 1976, he went on to join the Navy. Fred continued to proudly serve his country and traveling the world on naval ships until his military retirement in 1995. Even after his retirement, Fred continued to be patriotic and always went out of his way to thank other veterans.

October 15, 1983, Fred married the love of his life, Joyce (Shumaker). Fred had three children, Nathin (Annette) Keith, of Nevada, Brian (Heather) Keith, of Sedalia, and Scott (Colby) Keith, of Smithton. Though he was a loving and doting father and husband, his true pride and joy shown brightly in his love for his grandchildren. It took him exactly five seconds to pull out a picture of any (or all) of the grandchildren and pass it around the room!

Fred did carpentry and worked at a local factory to help support his family. In 2020, Fred fully retired so he could spend his time with his wife and constant Yorkie companion, Buddy, as well as grandchildren, hunting, and fishing. When he wasn't at home with family, you could find him off on fishing excursions with his best buddy, Steve Edwards.

Fred was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers, Kenneth ""Bud"" and Franky. He is survived by one brother, Dennis (Carolyn) Keith, his wife, three sons, seven grandchildren (Courtney, Isaak, Forest, Ryleah, Hadleah, Brogan, & Kinlea), and one great-granddaughter (Adeline).

He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends that were lucky enough to know him. He was loved by everyone who ever met him; An amazing husband, a great father, a fantastic grandfather, and a best friend to all walks of life.

Fred was a true lover of life; an avid fisherman and deer hunter, and dedicated Kansas City Chiefs football fan. He was a facilitator, voice of reason, a loyal confidante. He was truly one of a kind with a smile to brighten any day! Fred is now at peace, joining his parents and siblings.

While his family is shocked by this tragedy, they are thankful for his life. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Fred with all his adoring family and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 29, 2022 from 6:00pm-7:00pm and funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:00am, all services will be held at Bland-Hackleman funeral home.
