Mr Lockett was my daughter's karate instructor at Hughes rec center (Cincinnati) probably in 1986. He was such a loving man with the children (and adults), gently teaching them skills to succeed, not only in karate but also to have confidence in life. We all grew close to him and were saddened when he moved to SF.
He's been on my heart lately, so I searched Facebook, and found nothing. I had no idea he passed away until I googled his name.
I am so sorry for the family's loss, along with the community who loved him. May God rest his soul and bring peace to his family.

I just today learned of Freddy's passing last year and was immensely saddened by that news. He was a skilled professional and a true gentleman. I feel honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.

I just heard the news about Freddie and I can't believe he's gone. He's been a true friend and will be missed so very much.
