Frederick Antlsperger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Elmhurst Community Funeral Home - The Ahlgrim Chapel on Oct. 3, 2025.
Frederick Robert Antlsperger Jr., 92, of Lombard, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Fred was born on December 10, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frederick and Beatrice Antlsperger. He was married 46 years to the late Marilyn Joyce (nee Schrom) and together they were blessed with two daughters.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Mark) Interrante and Beth (Steven) Dimmitt; seven grandchildren: Courtney (Ryan) Conlon, Ashley DeBoer (Joel Garrett), Trey (Kristin) DeBoer, Ryan Interrante, Haley Interrante, Teppy Dimmitt, and Melissa Dimmitt; and three great-grandchildren, Daxton Garrett, Lenix Garrett, and Gavin Conlon. He is also lovingly remembered by his longtime companion, Velma DuRocher and her family.
Fred was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A hard worker and devoted provider, he was known for his generosity and thoughtful gift-giving. Through ten decades he made many friends who experienced his kindness-he never forgot a holiday or birthday and always sent a card with something special. Even near the end of his life, he was still sending birthday wishes to friends and had purchased a card for his great-grandson's upcoming birthday.
Fred enjoyed gatherings and was remembered as a great dancer. He also loved playing games with friends, especially on poker night.
On the day Fred passed, one of his great grandchildren commented that the rain that day was a sign that the Earth was crying. His family is crying also and Fred will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 4th, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, IL directly followed by a Chapel Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mount Emblem Cemetery at 520 E Grand Avenue, Elmhurst, IL.
