Frederick Alfred Benson, age 70, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. He was born on February 7, 1955, in Greenville, Texas, to the late Jimmy and Lottie Mae Benson.

Alfred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many. He had a gift for working with his hands and was excellent at any trade he put his mind to. Beyond his skills, Alfred found joy in simple passions-he loved collecting Hot Wheels cars and comic books, hobbies that reflected his playful spirit and eye for detail.

He is survived by his daughter, Lacy Garcia, and her husband Vinny Garcia; his son, Ryan Benson; and his cherished grandchildren, Ethan Daniel, Camden Daniel, and Brendon Daniel. Alfred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Benson, his daughter, Tristen Andrea Benson, and his parents, Jimmy and Lottie Mae Benson.

Alfred's legacy of love, strength, and creativity will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, especially in the generations that follow.

No public services are being held. Instead the family has decided to do a private viewing and cremation.

The family would like to thank friends and loved ones for their prayers, love, and support during this time of loss.
