Frederick “Bud” Henry Holle, age 91 of Baldwin, passed away January 27, 2026. Bud was born November 30, 1934, to Arthur and Della (Huenink) Holle on the family farm north of Baldwin. He attended Happy Valley school as a boy and graduated from Baldwin High School. Bud was united in marriage to Wanda Jane Lynum on November 22, 1958, in Hudson and the couple was blessed with three children, Lynn, Brian, and Brett.
Bud was very talented musically. As a child, he sang at funerals and other gatherings and was known as “the little Dutch boy from Baldwin.” As a young man, he played the folk guitar, steel guitar, and tuba in local bands.
Bud enjoyed working on a ranch near Mott, North Dakota, until he was drafted into the Army during the Korean War and served in Germany. Later, he served several years in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
After many years working for the U.S. Postal Service, Bud retired in 1999 as Baldwin’s Postmaster. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin.
Bud will remain in the hearts of his children Lynn (Ray) Moore and Brett; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda, son Brian, parents, and siblings Donald, Harriet, Earl, Leon, infant Angela, and twins Dale and Doris.
Visitation is planned for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, Baldwin, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at the Baldwin Cemetery will follow the service.
