Annie Louise Bignell

Annie Louise Bignell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on January 24, 2026. She was born on June 6, 1965, in Durand, Wisconsin, and graduated from Plum City High School in 1983.

On May 4, 1985, Annie married her beloved husband, Barry Bignell, in Plum City, Wisconsin. Together they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and family.

Annie was full of life and boundless energy, with a heart as generous as her spirit. She loved cooking, finding special joy in teaching her granddaughters how to cook and make her famous cinnamon rolls. Annie also enjoyed gardening and camping, especially trips to Stoney Creek Campground in Osseo, Wisconsin, where she loved sharing time with family and her beloved dog, Boone. She also took great pride in supporting her children and grandchildren in their hobbies, including showing animals at the local fairs. Family came first in everything she did.

Caring, compassionate, and hardworking, Annie dedicated much of her life to helping others. She worked for nearly 30 years at Red Wing Shoes before following her calling to become a CNA, where she provided comfort and care to those in need. Barry often said, “If the world had more Annies, it would be a better place to live,” a sentiment deeply felt by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Bignell; her children, Ashley (Addison) Pearson and Mike (Ashley) Bignell; her grandchildren, Garrett Pearson, Gracelynn Pearson, Ava Bignell, Rowdy Bignell, Rylee Bignell, Jamie Jensen, and Jack Jensen. She is also survived by her parents, Dennis Sr. and Carol Haglund; her siblings, Leah (Ken) Milliren, Dixie (Joe) Haglund, and Mathew Haglund; her father-in-law, Reuben Bignell; her sisters-in-law, Sheila Snapp and Becky (Scott) Mortel; and many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Annie was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis “Jr.” Haglund; her mother-in-law, Bev Bignell; and her brother-in-law, Scott Snapp.

A memorial service for Annie will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at noon, at O’Connell Family Funeral Homes in Baldwin, Wisconsin.
