Frederick D. Freeman Jr., 67, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, July 8, 2024.

He was born on February 18, 1957, in New Brighton, the son of Susie J. Menefee Freeman and the late Frederick D. Freeman Sr.

Rick was a sports fanatic and a great athlete, with a particular love for baseball. His friends remember him as a gentle soul with a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. Rick's presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, making him a friend to many.

In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by four brothers, Bo (Joyce) Freeman, Timothy Lewis (Judy) Freeman, Shawn Anthony Freeman, and Shannon Eugene (Aiga) Freeman; a sister, Sheena Michelle (Donald) Hampton; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; close friends, Mark Nemecek, Melissa & Jim Piotrowski; and the wonderful employees of Shoo Shoo's Wooden Spoon.

A special thanks to Ashlee Bentley (niece) for all of her efforts and support and most importantly love for her uncle.

Friends will be received Monday from 2-6 PM in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME INC., 1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066.
