Frederick Douglas Griffith, a beloved resident of Decatur, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Atlanta, GA, on April 14th, 1955, Frederick was a gentle soul known for his kind heart and quiet wisdom.
Frederick was preceded in death by his father, Willie Columbus Griffith, and his mother, Margret Hattie Griffith, who raised him with love and care in their Atlanta home. Despite facing life's challenges, Frederick remained a beacon of resilience and grace throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted sister, Johnnie Yvonne Kirkland, who cherished Frederick's warmth, humor, and endless support. Their sibling bond was a source of strength and joy.
Frederick's life was defined not by conventional employment but by the deep connections he fostered with his friends and family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements for Frederick have been lovingly entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory - South Dekalb. In honoring Frederick's memory, his family asks that those who feel compelled contribute to a charity of their choice in his name.
