Frederick Lee Jackson, lovingly known as "Freddie" by family and friends was born on July 22, 1953, the third child of fourteen to the union of the late Reverend Curtis Jackson Jr. and Elizabeth Jackson in Spartanburg South Carolina. At the age of one, the family relocated to Bronx, N.Y. where he started his education and at the age of seven the family relocated to Amityville, Long Island where he continued his education in the Amityville school system. Freddie dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of the Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Amityville, N.Y. After high school Freddie joined the army and after he finished his term in the army he also joined the marines. He was also a Mason and a member of Hollywood lodge #92 in Amityville, N.Y.
After serving in the military, Freddie returned to Amityville and received his Class "A" CDL driver's license and did what he loved to do, drive all over the country. Besides the love of family, he loved to go out on his boat, go fishing, and cook on his grill.
Freddie entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday October 13, 2025 at his home in Newberry S.C.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Curtis Jackson Jr., his brothers Cornelius Jackson and Jackie Nathaniel Jackson.
Freddie leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: His loving wife Barbara Graham Jackson, Mother: Elizabeth Jackson of Spartanburg S.C., Brothers: Carl Lindsey Jackson (Madeline) of Hamden CT., Stanley Bernard Jackson (Marsha) of Spartanburg S.C., Zachary Len Jackson of Charlotte N.C., Ellis Jeffrey Jackson of Lawrenceville GA., Glen Leon Jackson (Allison) of Jonesboro GA., Christopher Jackson (Donna) of Central Islip N.Y., Spurgeon Jackson of Central Islip N.Y. Sisters: Mary Veronica Jackson of Spartanburg S.C., Cynthia Denise Lindo of Spartanburg S.C., Melinda Jackson Holmes (Willy) of Belmont N.C., Pendoria Jackson of Central Islip N.Y. Sister-in-law: Anna Jackson of Spartanburg, Uncle: Stinson Jackson(Sharon) of Bayshore, N.Y. Aunt: Lois Jacskson of Rancho Mirage, CA. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Sherwood and Diane Evans, Stepchildren: Shavonna Jones (Michael Robinson), Traceton Robinson, Kelly Graham. Brother-in-laws: Mark Graham, Michael Graham, Rod Graham. Sister-in-laws: Wardenia Graham, Pamela Graham. Special grandson "Michah" and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held 1-5pm Tuesday October 21, 2025 Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday October 22, 2025 Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.
Interment with Military Honors will be held 1pm Wednesday October 29, 2025, M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery Anderson, SC.
Family will receive friends at the home 691 Cut Off Rd Silverstreet, SC 29145.
