Frederick Junker

Frederick Junker Jr., 62, passed away on February 2, 2026. He spent his final days in Naples, Florida, and was a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale.

Freddy was truly one of a kind - funny, sarcastic, and a lifelong smart-aleck who perfected the art of the quick comeback. He had a big personality, a sharp sense of humor, and a way of keeping things interesting wherever he went. He was incredibly hardworking and took great pride in his job, especially the relationships he built with his work family at Seaside Grill and the loyal regulars who became friends over the years.

A devoted sports fan, Freddy was famously obsessed with the Philadelphia Eagles and was also a loyal Philadelphia Phillies fan. He never missed a chance to watch a game or share his (very strong) opinions. When sports weren't on, he could often be found on the golf course, enjoying the game and the time it gave him to unwind.

Freddy is survived by his three sisters, Stacey Regar, Allison Leming, and Courtney Bassett. He was a beloved uncle and great-uncle who will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and the laughter he brought into so many lives.

Freddy is laid to rest alongside his beloved parents, Bette Seewald and Frederick Junker.

He will be deeply missed - and somewhere, he's cracking jokes, watching the Eagles and Phillies, and still insisting the ref made a bad call.
