Gerald was born,. August 1, 1948, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, the son of Rekus and Maria (Miller) Junker.
Gerald lived on the farm until he was 16 to 18 years old, after his father passed away he and his mom moved to town.
He attended school in Gothenburg, Nebraska where he ran track. He joined the National Guard after graduating, and upon return he went to work for Monroe's Auto in Cozad, Nebraska, where he worked for over 35 years, until they closed in 2010, and he retired at that time. He enjoyed swimming, hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Memorial services will be held, 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 12. 2025, Zion Lutheran Church, 77191 Hwy 47, Gothenburg, NE, with Pastor Doug Hjelstmad officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
