Frederick Karl Kearney, Sr., born on April 19, 1964, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away in the same city on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. He was a dedicated mechanic who spent many years honing his skills and was known for his meticulous work and reliable service.
Frederick was a family-oriented man who cherished laughter and the joy of being surrounded by his loved ones. His life was a testament to the strength of familial bonds and the enduring power of humor to uplift spirits. He was an avid fisherman, often found relaxing by the water with a fishing rod in hand, a pastime that brought him peace and happiness.
A devoted member of Alexander Temple Community Church, Frederick's faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him strength and guidance throughout his years.
He is survived by his children, Frederick Kearney, Jr., Roderick Kearney, Shatavia Kearney, Cedrick Webb, Derek Kearney, Sylvia Kearney, and Felicia Kearney; grandchildren, Sherriace Kearney, Frederick Kearney, III, Jackey Sheppard, Jr., Joy Sheppard, Jordan Sheppard, Jacob Sheppard, Roderick Kearney, Jr., Katelyn Kearney, Mairee Branch, and Karmen Goza; siblings, Valarie Kearney, Anthony Kearney, Robert Kearney, Richard Kearney, Christopher Terry, and Patrick Terry; special friend, Voncille Johnson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends who mourn his passing.
Frederick was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Pollard; father, Ervin Kearney, Jr.; and brothers, Richard Kearney and Patrick Terry.
His legacy of laughter, devotion to family, and passion for life will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
