I first "met" Fred on Woodnet due to our shared woodworking hobby over twenty years ago.
The number of people Fred has helped over the years will never be known because much of it was one-on-one behind the scenes, whether helping an older gent recover files he thought were lost from a disk drive, helping a younger person with tax/inheritance issues, or sharing tips on a recipe. Fred was always there.
Fred was proud of his family, his dogs, his Marine Corps and his country.
I am proud to say he was my friend.

I knew Fred from playing an online word game for the last few years and got to know him as a wonderful photographer. He was always kind and shared his wisdom with others. Me and all his Wordscapes teammates at Just Friends will miss him very much. I hope there are Nikons where you are, Fred!
