Frederick (Fred) Lewis Kite, of La Pryor, passed away in Uvalde, Texas Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Fred was born December 16, 1929, to Ernest Lincoln Kite and Anna Mary Kuhen Kite in Karnes County Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jeannette Robinson Kite, his parents, brother, Lincoln and son, Frederick Dwight Kite.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Kite) and husband Paul McGettes of the Reserve at Sugartree, Tx; son Gary and wife Marilyn (Matheny) Kite of Alamogordo, NM; three grandchildren, Pallie (English) and husband Henry Penney of Knippa, Tx; Drew and wife Melissa Martin of Colorado, Kaitlyn (Kite) and husband Jesse Macias of San Antonio Tx; great grandchildren, Tyler and wife Alex English of Midland Tx; Julie English of Knippa, Tx, Levi Martin of Colorado, and Kaitlyn’s son of San Antonio Tx along with many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.
Brenda and Gary would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to Victoria Gass, Jo Smith and the entire staff at 214 Martin Assisted Living for the care and respect they gave to their father the last few years of his life.
A private family memorial service to be planed at a later date.
