Frederick J. Knapp Jr., 77, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, just days before his 78th birthday. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Kala and Joe Parisi IV; his son, Fred Knapp III; his three brothers, Robert Knapp, Joe Knapp, and Gerard Knapp; and his five grandchildren, Samantha, Michelle, Kimberly, Cheyenne, and Angela. He was predeceased by his daughter, Janine Knapp and brother Jack Donahue.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, on October 16, 1946, Fred grew up with a deep connection to the sea. In his late 30s, he moved to South Florida, where he remained by the ocean he loved so much. An avid fisherman and boater, Fred found joy in the simple pleasures of life: casting a line, feeling the salt breeze, and being surrounded by water.

Fred was known for his vibrant personality, always quick with a story or a joke that would bring laughter to those around him. His warmth, humor, and love for the ocean will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him.

Fred's spirit lives on in the cherished memories of his family and friends. May he journey in peace now.

Services: Visitation will be held on  Friday, Oct. 18th, 2024 from 1-3pm with a service to begin at 3 PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel 3015 Okeechobee Rd Ft. Pierce, FL 34947.
