Frederick D McGowan

Frederick David McGowan, 82 of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away February 25, 2025, from health complications. He was finally called home to be with his Heavenly Father after living a long and wonderful Christian life here among countless loved ones. His parents was Harvey McGowan and Ruth (Parsons) McGowan. Dave had many adventures in his life born a sharecropper's grandson. He worked hard through many jobs which took him all over the United States. He loved flying and even had a pilot's license He lived on a dairy farm for many years and drove a semi-truck and trailer and even taught school at Buckeye Hills Carer Center for quite a while showing and sharing his many skills, talents, gifts and abilities.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Tammy Lynne (Cornell) McGowan, brothers, Harvey Eugene (Bobbi) McGowan, Harvey McGowan, Gary McGowan, Danny McGowan and sister Laura May McGowan Miller He is also survived by Beulah McGowan, mother-in-law, Mary Dayonez McGowan brother-in-law Rondal Cornell of Patriot Ohio, sister-in-law Susie Artie Cornell Rainey of Point Pleasant, WV and too many nieces and nephews to name that truly loved him dearly for all the love he gave us all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sandra Sue "Sug" (Bonecutter) Bergdorf, Juanita McGowan Turner and Louise, brother, Andy McGowan.
He loved his pets and had a special admiration for his beautiful flock of chickens. There will be no service per his request. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with his wife, family and loved ones.
