FREDERICK MILLER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 6, 2018.
Fred was born on 12/01/1946 and passed away on 04/06/2018. Fred was a resident of Jarrettsville, MD and San Diego, CA Frederick Anthony Miller, age 71 of Jarrettsville, MD, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Friday April 6, 2018. He was born to the late Ferdinand and Vivian Miller on December 1, 1946. Fred attended Catholic school and graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in 1964, served his country in the US Airforce during the Viet Nam war. He became a police officer and later a detective with the Baltimore County Police Department. For most of his career he was a construction contractor. Among his fondest memories were the more than 20 years he spent in San Diego, CA with his wife exploring the beach and hiking the San Diego backcountry. He became very close to his nephew, Skylar during annual family visits to San Diego. He often spoke about his fond memories of his childhood friend Rich Reese. After 20 years in San Diego, Fred decided to move back to Maryland to be with his family and lifelong friends. He said "I was tired of have family reunions at funeral homes." In the brief time since his return, he lived in his late brother David Miller's house enjoying the serenity of this beautiful property. Awe-struck with what God had provided at this place that David loved so much. Although he spent a lot of time battling one illness after another, he always held true to his faith, knowing that God was always with him. He was truly a wonderful man. Fred is survived by his loving wife June, kitty cat Baby Girl, son David, Granddaughters Brenna and Sophia Miller. Sister Janet Fewster and husband Billy, Nephew Scott and his wife Vicki and grandnephew Alex and grandniece Alayna; Sister Joyce Robison and her honey Chuck Dix and grandnephew Janssen. June - I just heard about Fred's passing. He was great man! I am so sorry for you having to lose the love of your life. I unfortunately have had to deal with the same thing with Bob's passing last August! It is so very hard to continue on without them in our lives but we were so blessed to have been able to experience a love so deep and intense that so many never get to experience. I miss seeing you here in San Diego! My heart goes out you! Love you and miss you!

June,
Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for you. On behalf of Nancy and me personally, and on behalf of your extended CACI family, I would like to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of Fred. You two were peas in a pod.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

God Bless,
Bill Bickert
