Frederick J. Nuzzo

Frederick "Rick" J. Nuzzo, 68, of New Haven, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the VA Hospital, West Haven. He was the beloved husband of Ann Milano Nuzzo. Rick was born in New Haven on March 10, 1955, and was the son of the late Frederick and Rosemarie Guida Nuzzo. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy. Rick was the owner and operator of Apizza Grande for many years. He will always be remembered for his hard work and dedication to his pizzeria. Rick enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of football, especially the Atlanta Falcons. Father of Erica (William) Morelli and Ashley Nuzzo. Grandfather of Alexander Carpentier and Sofia Morelli. Brother of David Nuzzo, Michael Nuzzo, and Marianne Rivadeneira. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The visiting hours will be on Monday, January 8 from 4 to 7 pm at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina at Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 335 Foxon Road, East Haven on Tuesday morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery.
