Frederick W. "Fred" Ormeroid

Frederick "Fred" W. Ormeroid, 89 of Delaware, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026. Known to most as Fred, he was born in Marysville, Ohio on March 23, 1937 to the late Herbert and Frances (Ridgeway) Ormeroid. Fred grew up in Union County and worked at Whirlpool – Marion for 17 years. On September 29, 1956, he married Norma J. Johnson and together they raised a family. Fred took up aluminum siding installation, later moving into vinyl siding and was self-employed for many more years. Together with Norma, they moved to Lake Panasoffkee, Florida after he retired. After he became ill, they moved back to Ohio. Fred loved to fish and was always a hard worker. Fred loved his family greatly and they loved him greatly in return.

Fred will be dearly missed by his wife, Norma Ormeroid; his sons, Randy (Connie) Ormeroid and Dale (Diana) Ormeroid; his four grandchildren, Holly (Mike) Young, Shannon (Lee) Stineman, Brandon (Jessica) Ormeroid, and James Ormeroid; his 13 great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Ethan, Blair, Jase, and Olivia Ormeroid, Kyliegh and Mason Luke, Kameron, Zack and Cole Young and Garret, Addison, and Ella Stineman; his sisters-in-law, Gwen (Loren) Shirk, Mary Ormeroid, and Karen Ormeroid.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Bernice, Libby, and Marilyn; and his brothers, Robert, Floyd, Carroll, and Herb "Jr.".

A Celebration of Fred's life will be held at a later date.
