Shirley Ann Ormeroid, 90, of Marysville, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, September 22, 2025, at Bluebird Retirement Community after months of failing health.

Shirley was born May 2, 1935, in Dundon, West Virginia, to the late Edwin T. and Elsie Ann (Sereno) Finlinson. After attending Raymond High School, she married the love of her life, Carroll L. Ormeroid, and they shared 64 years of family, dedication, and love together before his passing on July 2, 2015.

Shirley was a hard worker, and whatever she put her mind to, she gave it her all. Over the years, she wore many hats, and not only graduated from beauty school and worked as a beautician, but spent most of her working years as a seed technician for Seed Technology. A spectacular seamstress, she followed in her mother's footsteps and made amazing quilts. She was also a woman of unshakeable faith, and was a longtime member of the Cornerstone Global Methodist Church. Above all things, she thrived most in her role as grandma. She traveled extensively to support her grandkids sports and music events, and she spoiled them endlessly. Christmas was a very special time for her, and she enjoyed collecting Santa statues and angels, but most especially gift giving to her grandkids and making the holiday sparkle for them. Giving to them, and being there for them, was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Judy) Ormeroid and Debbie (Allen) Whiteside; grandchildren Jason (Christi) Ormeroid, Jarad Whiteside, Meredith (Josh) Fultz, Luke (Leslie) Whiteside; great grandchildren Brandon (Jasmine Wilcox) Ormeroid, Logan (Chase) Rigsby, Levi Ormeroid, Peter, Vivian, Mason & Maddie Whiteside; great-great grandchildren Kiley Wilcox and Cambryn Meadows; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Along with her parents, and her husband, Carroll, Shirley was also preceded in passing by all her siblings.

Calling hours will be 10-11 am Friday, September 26, 2025, at Cornerstone Global Methodist Church, where funeral services to celebrate Shirley's life will begin promptly at 11 am, with Pastor Peggy Hoy officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery next to her husband, Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ViaQuest Hospice, 171 Morey Dr #B, Marysville, OH 43040, or in care of Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, who is assisting the family.

Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Shirley's family, and condolences may be expressed to them at www.IngramFuneralService.com.
