Richard Dingledine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville on Sep. 20, 2025.
Richard "Dick" E. Dingledine, also known as "Dickie", 77, of Lakeview, passed away late Thursday evening, September 18, 2025, at his home following months of failing health.

Dick was one of three children, born to George R. and Helen B. (Lowry) Dingledine on August 18, 1948, in Kenton. During his high school years, he met and fell in love with Minnie K. Salyer, and they married on July 8, 1967, beginning 58 years of love, family, and friendship together. He spent his working years at the Ohio Grain before and after it became Champaign Landmark, retiring after several decades of service.

A homebody at heart, Dick was an avid hunter, trapshooter, and fisherman, holding a longtime membership with the Russell's Point Fish and Game Club where he spent countless afternoons with his good friends, RC, Stant, and Leo. He held an annual fish fry at his house on the 4th of July, and would fry up around 50 lbs. of saw guy that he caught throughout the fishing season. All family and friends were invited and everyone brought a covered dish. Afterwords everyone would watch the fireworks together, and no one went home hungry. He also had a soft spot for his fur babies, Missy Miss and Zeus.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Minnie; children Donna (Dan) Schnees of Milford Center, Richard "Eric" Dingledine of Marysville, and Russell Dingledine of Lakeview; grandchildren Tracy (Chris) Turner and LJ Dingledine; sister Sharon (Delbert) Blevins; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Along with his parents, Dick was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, George and Tyna Dingledine.

Family will greet friends from 3-5 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville. Burial will follow at a later date in Milford Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 5200 Upper Metro Pl #170, Dublin, OH 43017, or in care of the funeral home, where contribution cards will be available during service times.

Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Dick's family, and condolences may be expressed to them at www.IngramFuneralService.com.
