Ronald E. Pierce, 86, of Marysville, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, September 22, 2025, after months of failing health.

Ron was born July 25, 1939, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Russell E. and Donna A. (Baldwin) Pierce. After graduating High School, Ron went on to further his education at Ohio Northern, earning his PHD in Pharmacology. It was during this time, he married the former Carol Ann Reinhard, on June 22, 1963, and they began a 53-year marriage full of love and laughter before she preceded him in passing on December 6, 2016. During his early working years, Ron was a pharmacist at Revco and earned the nickname "Revco Ron" before it became CVS. One to stay busy, he was also a science teacher for London City Schools, as well as a school bus driver on the side. He also occasionally filled in as a pharmacist for McCarthy's Pharmacy, Sheilds, and the Ohio Reformatory for Women.

Along with his wife, Carol, they attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and after retirement, took off traveling all over, from places such as Hawaii, Alaska, England, France, and even Czechoslovakia. Ron loved to grow things, and he thrived in his vegetable garden with his tomatoes and green beans, but he left the harvesting to his kids and grandkids. He was a collector of office supplies, and several versions of National Geographic Magazines and Bibles, and had quite the sweet tooth. A little stubborn and ornery, Ron had a great sense of humor and loved to twist words to make people laugh. He was most proud of being a grandpa, and loved the moment when there was a fifth-generation family member born. Being a dedicated husband, dad, and grandpa, was very important to him.

He is survived by his children, Debbie (Dennis) Cox, Matt Pierce, Chris (Kristine) Pierce, and Alicia (Ira) Somerville; five grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholi, Devin, Myra and Zackary; brothers Ben and Jim Pierce; special cousin Karen Dutton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Along with his parents, and his wife, Carol, he was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Pierce.

A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 17700 Echo Dr., Marysville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses during service time, or in care of Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, who is assisting the family.
