Peterson, Frederick Jacob, Age 83 died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Survived by his lifelong partner of 50 plus years Hazel Akins and his sister Rita Swann (Dennis).

Preceded in death by his Mother Christine (Miller) Peterson and his Father John Peterson. Sister Delores (Late Charles), his Brother John Peterson, Sister Barbara Peterson, Brother Walter Peterson (Late Janette), Brother Patrick Peterson. Sister Rosemary Johnson (Late Elton). He was dearly loved by his extended Akins Family and friends. Caring and proud Uncle of many nieces & nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Fred was born and raised in Chicago. He lived in College Park, GA for the last 12 years. He was a fun-loving guy and loved his family very much. He adored all his nieces and nephews and was the proud God Father of Jennifer Swann. Fred enjoyed cooking and to go out to eat. Fred loved to draw as a child he won a drawing contest.

Fred worked for a moving company as a truck driver out of state, he also worked in construction, and in his free time he loved to reupholstered furniture. Fred also loved to help people, he was a very kind and giving man. Fred will be missed dearly by many.

August 2, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McInerney Central Chapel, located at 4635 S Wallace Street, Chicago, IL. Funeral prayer service at 7:30 pm. . Cremation following in accordance with Fred's wishes.
