Frederick D. Polgardy Sr.

Frederick D. Polgardy, Sr., 84, of Easton passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ he was a son of the late Gabriel and Mary (Hughes) Polgardy.
He served as a petty officer second class in the United States Navy. He attended nuclear power school during his time with the Navy. Fred worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for women. He was a member of the United States Submarine Veterans, Reading Base. He was also a member of the Easton Lodge #152 Free and Accepted Masons, Phillipsburg Lodge #52 Free and Accepted Masons, Crescent Shrine AAONMS Oasis of Westhampton, NJ, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Warren County Forest 0014.
He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes "Sam" (Dezzi) Polgardy; children, Sherri Pettigrew of Blanchester, OH; Wendy Smits and her husband, Michael of Dunnellon, FL; Frederick Polgardy, Jr. and his wife, Sue of Colorado Springs, CO; Samantha Jones and her husband, Kyle of Hendersonville, TN; 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Polgardy.
