Frederick Schnabel ObituaryTorrington - Frederick E. Schnabel, age 62 of Torrington, beloved husband of Cindy (Cable) Schnabel, died unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Born in Lansdale, PA on July 20, 1962, he was a son of the late John C. and Erla (Walther) Schnabel.
A former accountant of over 30 years for Cartier, Fred was very smart, had a passion for numbers and solving problems, and spoke French. A former president of Torrington Little League Baseball, Fred was an avid sports enthusiast and a longtime suffering Mets fan, who loved coaching baseball. He also had a passion for the arts, loved singing and supported local theatres.
In addition to his beloved wife Cindy, survivors include his loving children, Freddy Schnabel, Jr., Nicole Galpin and Ellie Schnabel; siblings, Teri Blasche, John Schnabel, Gina Elliott and Larry Schnabel; many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved canine best friend, Seba.
