Fredis Antonio Saravia Corvera, passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on April 17, 2025 at 34 years of age.
Born on October 3, 1990, in San Vicente, El Salvador, Fredis brought joy and laughter into the world from the very beginning. Fredis was the cherished son of Teodulo Saravia and Elva Morena del Carmen Corvera. His warm, loving nature extended to his devoted wife, Yulisa Martinez, his sister Carolina Saravia, and his adored nephews, James Matthew and James Christopher. Fredis's presence will also be profoundly missed by his loving in-laws and a multitude of friends who were drawn to his friendly, faith-filled spirit, and loving nature.
In El Salvador, Fredis began his work life as a taxi driver, a job that allowed him to meet people from all walks of life and share stories and smiles. His personable nature made every journey memorable, and he was often told he knew the city like the back of his hand. In 2022, Fredis and his beloved Yulisa made the significant decision to move to the United States, where he transitioned into landscaping with his family here. This new chapter of his life was filled with the same dedication and joy he brought to everything he did.
Fredis was incredibly proud of his Salvadoran heritage and maintained a deep connection to his roots. He met Yulisa, the love of his life, in El Salvador in 2021, and together they embarked on a journey that was tragically cut short. A devout Catholic, Fredis was always involved in church and community events. He believed in giving back and could often be found volunteering, whether for a church event in Massachusetts or an event for his parish in his homeland.
Those who knew Fredis would describe him as the unofficial "mayor", which friends and family would often joke about. His polite demeanor, well-educated mind, and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure in both his native and adopted communities. Fredis's life was a testament to his faith and love for others. He was a beacon of light and kindness, always ready with a helping hand or a comforting word. His legacy is one of love, service, and the joy he found in everyday connections. While his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Family and friends will honor Fredis's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston, on Friday, April 25th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Saturday morning at 10 AM at the Most Holy Redeemer Parish in East Boston. Please meet directly at church. Fredis will be laid to rest in El Salvador.

Su naturaleza cálida y amorosa se extendía a su devota esposa, Yulisa Martínez, a su hermana Carolina Saravia y a sus adorados sobrinos, James Matthew y James Christopher. La presencia de Fredis también será profundamente extrañada por sus amorosos suegros y una multitud de amigos que se sintieron atraídos por su espíritu amigable, lleno de fe y amor.

Quienes conocieron a Fredis lo describen como el "alcalde" no oficial, un apodo del que sus amigos y familiares solían bromear. Su trato cortés, mente educada e interés genuino por los demás lo convirtieron en una figura muy querida tanto en su comunidad natal como en la adoptiva. La vida de Fredis fue un testimonio de su fe y su amor por los demás. Fue un faro de luz y amabilidad, siempre dispuesto a tender una mano amiga o decir una palabra reconfortante. Su legado es de amor, servicio y la alegría que encontraba en las conexiones cotidianas. Aunque su partida deja un vacío imposible de llenar, su espíritu continuará inspirando a todos aquellos que tuvieron la fortuna de conocerlo.
Familiares y amigos honrarán la vida de Fredis reuniéndose en la Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, en East Boston, el viernes 25 de abril de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m., y nuevamente el sábado por la mañana a las 10:00 a.m. en la parroquia Most Holy Redeemer, en East Boston. Por favor, diríjanse directamente a la iglesia. Fredis será sepultado en El Salvador.
