He was born in Gassaway on June 8, 1936, to the late Orlando Ott "Tink" Rader and Lola Bender Rader.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Orlando Rader, Bill Rader and Orlando "Shorty" Rader; and son, Skip Rader.
Fred was a barber and long-time business owner in Gassaway. He enjoyed farming and raising livestock. He had many friends and associates in his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Bernice Roberts Rader; grandsons, Ryan Rader of Gassaway, and Skyler Rader and wife, Brittany, of Gassaway; great grandchildren, Leah Rader and Brayden Rader; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services.
Arrangements by Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.
