Fredrick (Fred) C. Zilke, age 74, passed away in a house fire at his home on Saturday, August 16th 2025. He was born on July 8th 1951 in Kenosha, Wi., the son of Fredrick J. and Florence (Johnson) Zilke. He attended Oakdale and Milton schools and graduated from Milton Union High School in 1969.

He worked as a farmer on the family farm with his father. He enjoyed milking the cows and doing the field work. He also was employed at Chamber and Owens, IKI and Seneca. Fred enjoyed playing softball, bowling, coed volleyball and dartball. Fred was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church.

Fred is survived by his sisters, Linda (Wayne) Schuette, June (Tim) Kummerow-Berg. Niece's, Tina (Matt) Trickel, and Janell Foreman. Nephew, Matt (Kelly) Schuette. Great nephews, Kaileb Klossner, Gaiven Foreman and Kaeson Trickel. Great nieces, Tairyin Klossner, Kayla, Blakley and Addison Schuette.

He was preceded in death by his parents and great niece Morganne Klossner. Fred was a special part of our family, he is loved and certainly will be missed.

There will be no services per his request. Memorial contributions are preferred to Rock Co. Humane Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton/Edgerton is assisting the family. We would like a Special "Thank you" to go out to Lakeside Fire Department, Rock County Sheriff's Department and to the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services for their help and support.
